Random Thoughts for a Tuesday

Thinking

So....here I sit looking at our wonderful new blog site and I wonder, “why is it so quiet in here?” I'm assuming that most of you don't blog on a regular occasion and you are not really sure what to write about. So I guess I will write about some random stuff and show you how easy it can be.

Things I would like to know about. (and feel free to jump in with comments or your own blogs)

  1. Are your posts as active as mine is? I mean I am starting to feel bad that I hardly ever get around to going to my post. I know there is always stuff going on.....live DJ.....Rider meetings......dinner specials....give aways and games. If I think about it there are more things going on at my post than there are here at the house.

  2. Winter seems to be early this year. Could it be the calm before the “Global Warming” storm that has yet to appear? I hate winter, but yet I feel compelled to live in a state that has winters and bad ones at that. Every year the gas bill shoots through the roof....literally ....and smoking outside is no joy. (oh well it's my habit I guess I should own up to the fact no one makes me stand outside.)

  3. Are dinosaur bones real? Could it be the “new lifers” are right when they say the earth is only 6,000 years old and God placed them here as part of a test or something. (I don't remember the exact justification)

  4. Should Joe Lieberman keeps his post? I mean common already, it's not like he has any legs to stand on when it comes to his declaration of being Independent anymore.

  5. Has anyone ever re-caulked a bathtub before? This is my first time and I can tell you this .....IT SUCKS. It's taken me 2 days to get the old stuff off and another day to clean what was left behind. For some strange reason I thought it was going to take a few hours and then it would be done. (silly me)

  6. Why does Fox News upset me so much. It feels most of the time I am watching Fox Reality channel with a different header on the screen.

  7. Gas prices seem really low lately, not that I am complaining, but is it some sort of side deal with the automotive manufactures to sell more cars? Seems awful fishy to me that they have been so high as of late and now that they are in trouble the price drops dramatically.

Anyway, these are my random thoughts today. I hope some of you respond.

I know you are out there. Cool

Have a safe and happy week.

I also am new at posting

I also am new at posting here and have only posted twice. Random or not it is nice hearing from other members. This summer I laid tile in my bathroom and kitchen, plus remodel my home mostly on my own (sort of like my eyes were bigger then my stomach). It took longer then thought. Hearing from you I may just hire someone to re-caulk my tiles when that day comes. Enjoy life and have fun. Thanks for posting. Roger Vancouver WA, AL Post 14
Noticed you were musing

Noticed you were musing after the election. Should the independent keep his seat? Well, you have to get un elected or resign don't you?? And as an independent, he is standing on the fence, but he can fall to either side, green grass or not. As for checking a site, yes, does create a problem, have to have a check list. The other part, is there are so MANY new ones to explore, and I don't have enough time. Park on the driveway? or drive on the parkway?

You are right about all of the stuff going on at some Legion posts. While my visits to my post home dropped dramatically after the arrival of my kids - thank God for Santa Claus and my Post's annual Christmas party! It beats paying $25 to have kids pictures taken with the mall Santas. The Christmas Party at Speedway IN Post 500 is a big deal to a lot kids and their families. Like a lot of posts in The American Legion, there is usually something that would appeal to anyone.
Gas prices

I think the gas prices are low just to give us a warm fuzzy before it goes up to about $6.00 a gallon!!!

I hope not. I may have to second mortgage the house to afford that.

Dinosaur bones are real my friend and so were the animals attached to them several million years ago.
