Veterans reaching out the children and youths for Christmas
3 salutes

The Sgt. Joseph "Joe" Turner American Legion Post 11of Institute,West Virginia  reached out to the children and youths in three local communities by handing winter caps and gloves instead of toys.  The Institute Volunteer Fire Department,Kanawha County Sheriff Department, Dunbar Police and Fire Department assisted us with this event.

American Legion Post 11 had two Christmas parties which about 75 children and youths, parents, and grandparents attended.  The children and youths had a wonderful time at the giveways and the party. Happiness and excitement filled the air.  In preparation of this event The Sgt. Joseph " Joe" Turner American Legion Post 11 had a Christmas drive and raised monies and they purchased and gave out over 250 pairs of gloves and caps to the children. This will be a Annual event for Post 11.
