Here's an interesting web site and petition. It's called "4% for Freedom" by the Heritage Foundation. http://www.heritage.org/fourpercent/

While The American Legion supports spending 5% of GDP on defense, Heritage's 4% is a floor not a ceiling. Moreover, both organizations are in synch in calling for a strong national missile defense. Without a strong defense, there would be no United States or other "domestic priorities" to even worry about.

It is my belief that the "The majority of American Citizens" along with the entirety of America's outstanding military service members are well aware of the unparalled dangers that this great nation currently faces at home and abroad. As America's enemies steadily increase on the global stage it is absolutely unthinkable that many of America's Washington politicians would even consider a reduction and or limitation of our beloved military forces in personnel or equipment.
