Disney's Animal Kingdom has closed after a small fire broke out Sunday, injuring a park employee.
Disney spokeswoman Andrea Finger says a t-shirt stand at the Kilimanjaro Safari ride caught on fire when an employee of the park assaulted a man smoking a cigarette behind the stand. The blaze was mostly out by the time fire officials arrived.
The employee known only as Ms. Belle, seen in the picture to the left, was taken to the hospital after complaining of being set on fire by the man. When asked for comment the man said, "I was just standing there enjoying a smoke when all of a sudden this big ***** bug starting swarming around me. Boy they have big bugs around here. Good thing I had my mace and a lighter. It knida acts like a flame thrower if you do it right. I don't think a bug zapper whoulda killed that thing." Finger says three other guests have been treated on the scene for minor injuries.
She says Disney officials are clapping their hands as fast as they can hoping for a quick recovery of Ms. Belle. The affected area fo the park will likely re-open next Monday.
