The ACLU has historically carried on a campaign to institute THEIR interpretation of the constitution. The erection of this cross has in NO way advocated Christianity over other religions. The cross is simply a War memorial, an icon of the sacrifice of troops of all wars. The constitution is very clear in the first amendment. It may not establish a national religion. The erection of this cross does not do this. Anyone who sees anything other than a war memorial has an agenda politically driven.
