The ACLU only stepped in when the property was transferred from the VFW to the federal government. No one wants discrimination against other religions on federal land. The solution of adding other symbols to represent the breadth of religious diversity has been suggested by many people, many times and rejected. This country was founded as a result of our ancestors fleeing from religious persecution in Europe. The Government may not advocate Christianity over other religions.
