Why doesn't Persian Gulf War Vets Qualify for this new GI Bill? WW2, Korea and Vietnam had the WW2 GI Bill. The Persian Gulf war was the actual start of the "War On Terror" but we don't qualify for the new GI bill even though President Obama says the nation should be inclusive and not exclusive with these new benefits. It would seem to me that if family members and spouses of Iraq and Afghanistan vets qualify for this then why not the vets who actually fought for our nation in the Gulf War?
