Veterans are invited to sign up for the Aug. 22 Job Fair and the Aug. 25-26 Small Business Training Program in Louisville, Ky. Both programs are featured activities at The American Legion's 91st National Convention. The Job Fair will be at the Galt House Hotel & Suites, 2nd Floor, Suite East Tower, and the training program will be at the Kentucky International Convention Center, Level One, rooms 102 and 103. The two events are free of charge.
The Small Business Training Program will feature seminars on how to start or grow a small business. Federal specialists will be on hand during the two-day session, as well as federal executive guest speakers. Four federal contracting activities and two prime contractors have already signed up to participate in the Intellimatch sessions. The NAICS (North American Industry Classification System) codes these buyers are looking for will soon be made available.
The training program is cosponsored by The American Legion, the U.S. Small Business Administration, Veterans Business Resource Center and Veterans Business Outreach Center.
For more information, or to register for the event, call Joe Sharpe at (202) 861-2700.
